On a west-facing hillside above Kefalonia's northern coast, just a 10 minute drive away from the pretty port of Fiscardo, the tiny hamlet of Markandonata gets stunning sunset views across olive groves and cypress forest to the Ionian Sea.

The private grounds of Villa Frappa are hidden away amongst a hillside of olive groves – a peaceful escape with natural surroundings.

Originally a simple stone cottage, built in the early 17th Century, the property has been brought into the 21st Century by Marcus Love, a costume designer for cinema, combining traditional local style and modern comforts. The cottage has recently been extended and given a swimming pool.

Surrounding the villa and the swimming pool terraces are beautifully landscaped gardens of bougainvillaea, citrus, almond, olive and cypress trees. Here there is peaceful seclusion yet the sea and local eateries are not far away.

Villa Roumbini lies privately on the other side of the gardens.

Private swimming pool 13 x 3 metres

Maid service & linen change twice per week
