Mandarini
The sheltered port of Sivota, on Lefkas’ south coast, is most probably the prettiest on the island.
A fjord-like entrance opens to a colourful waterfront of tavernas, bars and shops with a natural backdrop of hillsides covered with olive groves.
On one of these hillsides, just above the sea and overlooking the entrance to Sivota port, are two villas: Mandarini and Natalia. The villas are located in private grounds of 4 acres. Each villa has privacy.
Villa Mandarini looks out over the tops of silver olive trees to the sheltered bay and waterfront of Sivota, and across the open sea to the islands of Ithaca and Kefalonia.
The villa has one of the best seats in the theatre to watch the comings and goings of yachts and local fishing boats. By night the theatre changes to twinkling taverna lights.
There is sea access about 300m by foot from the villa.
The private grounds include a citrus orchard and a vegetable garden, where villa guests can help themselves.

Location: car hire recommended. Villa Mandarini is reached by a track of 2 kilometres from Sivota. Sivota has a good selection of tavernas (fresh fish always on the menu), bars, a couple of minimarkets and bakeries. There is a village beach and hiring a boat locally will give easy access to other beaches on the east and south coasts.
Accommodation:
Ground floor of an open-plan sitting room, dining area and kitchen; cloakroom. First floor of one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, each with an en suite bathroom with shower.
