Karpouzi
The sheltered bay of Frikes, a few kilometres north of Kioni, holds a cluster of beaches and a small village waterfront of two minimarkets, one cafenion and three good tavernas. A small marina accommodates visiting yachts, local fishing boats and a departure point for the ferry to Lefkas and Kefalonia.
The coastline either side of Frikes is punctuated by small, natural beaches (sunbed-free) most of which can only be reached by boat.
The atmosphere of Frikes is simple, peaceful and relaxed.
Just above the waterfront, Karpouzi is a small apartment with a balcony and terrace overlooking the port and bay of Frikes.
Simple yet comfy accommodation with beautiful views. About 15 paces to the nearest minimarket; 30 paces to the nearest waterfront taverna; 50 paces to a spot to moor your hire boat and 100 paces inland to find a series of ancient goat paths through ancient olive groves. Prota Kourvoulia beach is 700 metres away.
