Aspasia
Agios Ioannis beach is on the north west coast, 1.5 kilometres from Lefkas Town. Several kilometres of sand and shingle provide sheltered swimming at one end and, in the afternoons, excellent conditions for windsurfing and kite surfing at the other end. There are 6 beachfront tavernas and several bars catering for both traditional and international tastes.
Above the beach, on a hillside of olive groves and pine trees are three recently built villas (Arianna, Ourania and Aspasia). Aspasia has its own hillside terrace below Arianna.
Aspasia has views over the countryfied west coastine, the beach below (only 200 metres away) and to the mountains of Aetoloakarnania on the Greek mainland.
Lefkas Town is a drive of 10 minutes. The town has a good selection of tavernas, shops and bars with attractive seafront locations.

Location: car hire recommended. The pretty seaside village of Agios Nikitas is 7 kilometres away and beyond that, the spectacular sandy beaches of the west coast. Faneromeni Monastery has spectacular views over Agios Ioannis and is a 10 minute drive – the monastery bells and monks’ chanting can be heard on the beach on Sundays.
